Hello everyone,
Good turnout with 22 attendees, and lots of huddles-of tech-talk. $30 +
change (in gold, and flat-money) collected and transferred into the
robotics loose-change jar (for later banking).
All sales from the trading table should go into the brown box on the
wall, and are directly for the benefit of our host club, NZART Branch 05.
Equipment donations are welcome for the trading table, but no CRT based
product, printers, toner or items that are likely to be a disposal burden.
With thanks on behalf of the group,
Mark Atherton
Rudy gave us an update on the progress of Molten Media Community trust.
He also talked some new graphene-based technology called MATBG (Magic
Angle Twisted Bi-layer Graphene).
Andy found a YouTube video demonstrating how an Asian country has
outlawed bit-coin mining; the video demonstrated 1000 mining-rigs being
destroyed by a steam roller.
Andrew talked about a 3D printed Grey-Code switch assembly based on a
(very clever) single read-out mechanism.
William talked about various projects including the butter warmer,
demonstrated using several kilos of real, live butter.
Michael brought along his electric unicycle; he talked about the
control/stabilizer and gave us a demonstration. He also recalled a
couple of interesting encounters with the police.
Levi presented an interesting physics question to the group associated
with a pneumatic ground probe.
