Hello everyone,
Good turnout with 23 attendees, and lots of huddles-of tech-talk. $28 +
change (in gold, and flat-money) collected and transferred into the
robotics loose-change jar (for later banking).
Quick reminder: equipment donations are welcome for the trading table,
but no CRT based product, printers, toner or items that are likely to be
a disposal burden. All sales from the trading table should go into the
brown box on the wall, and are directly for the benefit of our host
club, NZART Branch 05.
Good to see a couple of new members, including one with quite a DARC
background :)
With thanks on behalf of the group,
Mark Atherton
============
Darren talked about the evolution of a locally deployed e-scooter;
fascinating insight.
William talked about the new PCB version of the trailer tester and
passed around his latest endeavour.
Bevin continued his compiler series, this month linking-loaders etc.
Amazing series, many thanks.
Steven talked about his wind driven crawling-machine powered by a small
hand-fan. Apparently found as a kit in a toy store in Invercargill !
Robin brought in his home-made 'flymo blade' sharpener, and gave a quick
demo. Actually, the blades work in groups of three, rotate at many
thousands of RPM, and the whole assembly is towed by a small tractor.
