You could look at the TP-Link TL-MR3020. $49 at PB Tech. With 8 MB flash
and 64 MB RAM it will run the latest OpenWrt Linux distribution.
No external SMA connector but maybe one could be added?

Dimensions are 74 x 67 x22 mm.
