Hi,

Since quite a few here also get involved in IT work, or may 'catch'
things on the way to dumpster, so here's a small public service
announcement:

"Bulletin: HPE SAS Solid State Drives - Critical Firmware Upgrade
Required for Certain HPE SAS Solid State Drive Models to Prevent Drive
Failure at 32,768 Hours of Operation"

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00092491en_us

Other brands might also be affected as it is a firmware issue inside the
SSD, however HP are the only one I have seen announced.

What do you think the chances are that drives in a RAID set will have
the same number of power on hours?

Mike
