[chbot] question about web hosting

Not sure how far the world has moved on since I delved into this 
technology, so maybe you-guys can help.

One of the team is investigating a non-shared web-server service 
(meaning presumably single instance of a web server dedicated to a 
single client). Virtualisation may come into the mix at some point.

Is this a commonly available service ?

I have all my web-junk served by GoDaddy and am pretty sure that my web 
site is one of a thousand others shared across a server or three.
