[chbot] Bluetooth LE tags

Hi everyone,

In case anyone is interested, the Warehouse are selling Bluetooth tags on
clearance for $6.97 each.

Still a little pricey if you want a lot of them, but cheap enough if you
just want to play. I found them in South City and Rangiora recently, in the
automotive section. They are MAKO brand, shaped as a small white triangle,
about 30mm to a side and 6mm thick.

They have a coin cell battery inside, which is replaceable, a switch, a
buzzer, and a blue LED. The case is flexible, but not waterproof. Squeeze
the case to actuate the button. Long press turns them on and off. Short
press can be configured to do something on the receiving end.

There are several designs in the marketplace, but they all have the same
general function of keeping track of your keys, or your bag, and can also
work as a camera shutter button or trigger some action on your phone.
Google 'itag' for the basic idea.

I don't have the app installed, but they are detected by my phone, and by a
Raspberry Pi 3. They are Bluetooth LE, so whatever you are using must be
capable of Bluetooth LE or it won't detect the tags.

Best wishes,

Andrew
