Hello everyone,

Good turnout with 18 attendees, and lots of huddles-of tech-talk. $20
collected and transferred to BR05 account.

The recently prompted email regarding equipment donations to the trading
table has resulted in quite a pile of ‘new’ equipment. Just to
reiterate; yes donations are welcome, but not CRT, printers or toner.

With thanks on behalf of the group,

Mark Atherton

==================

Mr Barnes turned up with a decadent array of wares, consisting of prime
used-electronics, all carefully presented on the back of his trailer.
This caused a great deal of interest from the group, along with steady
purchases and donations to our host club. Thank you Mike.

Mark A gave a brief talk about the resurrection of his first
microprocessor project designed in 1982. Apart from an EPROM which
erased itself due to age, the unit appears to completely work, and is
now running some contemporary code.

Peter H gave us an update on his solar-power-manager. Latest upgrade is
to migrate the system to manage three-phase power.

Corey set up a mechatronic display of a Halloween robot, complete with
witch, stirry-cauldron, and smoke generator.

William gave us an update on his homebrew (SSI logic) processor. His
latest peripheral is a daisy-wheel printer.

Chris delivered several hundred-weight of servers, and associated
peripherals. These need to be sifted, and possibly donated to BR05.

Darren brought in his 3D printer which was having some problems. Winston
helped with material and setup assistance.

Volker talked about some experiences with (very) old LiIon cells, and
associated controller PCBs. He also demonstrated a $25 Digital Storage
Oscilloscope.

Robin G posed a puzzle about minimum drop charging circuits. Also, he
plans to bring his ESP32-based Mongoose OS system in next meeting.

Henry A talked about the next Ev Velocity event on the 2nd Dec at the
A&P show grounds. He also demonstrated his low cost gaming machine.
