Hello everyone,

Good turnout, with 17 attendees, $18 collected and transferred to BR05
account. Associated fiddly change is in the Robotics loose-change-jar.

With thanks on behalf of the group,

Mark Atherton

Peter Harris brought in a pile of his surplus grid-tied-invertors, along
with some stories associated with similar, newer product he has
purchased. Quite a technology shift noted with the five years between
the two technologies; mainly in exposed features.

William discussed his latest electric-watch, complete with I2C connected
smart-LION battery monitoring.

Robin talked about some the issues associated with switching/sharing a
DC solar source with open circuit potential of 500V, and continuous
currents of 10A. Interesting problem.

Mark briefly talked about the youtube video ‘humans need not apply’,
along with other implications of some rapidly approaching technological
changes. Also briefly touched on ‘Universal Basic Income’, and some of
the implications.

Volker discussed display contrast enhancement by the use of colour
filters, and followed up on some of the recent email discussions. Also
demonstrated a high temperature insect sting neutraliser, for direct
application to the epidermis. Cries of 'ouch' rang out as the device was
tested by the unwitting audience !

David Bouke, talked about his experience repairing product with
bond-wires, and chip-on-ceramic technologies. Latest investigations
include a home-made ultrasonic wire-bonder.
