Late apologies to the group for not being there tonight, somehow I managed
to avoid a calendar for a few days and convinced myself that the 21st was
next week!!

The evening was not wasted however, my project of the last few months has
fired up. This is the making of a high powered pure sine inverter using a
repair kit for a cheap Chinese inverter (the main power board and the
control board) and a home made toroid transformer. Its expected to run 6kw
continuous with short bursts to 15-20kw for starting motors etc. Tonight
it was running 1kw from a mains PSU. My battery bank has to be rewired
from 24v to 48v which involves re-drilling some heavy 600 amp bus bars and
re-arranging nearly 400kg of batteries, when that is done I'll be able to
REALLY test it!

The transformer was started back in August from parts picked up from the
