A well made point regarding acronyms. KISS is an acronym for "Keep it simple, stupid" as a design principle noted by the U.S. Navy in 1960. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KISS_principle)
If its not broken don’t fix it what’s wrong with the current name ? The group may have drifted away from solely robotics but does JPL only develop jet propulsion systems ?
