Closest you get is a semi-decent spec computer with big disk and mythtv
on it. Skipping ads on playback may work automatically, but check their
mailing list.

An alternative is to have an analog TV, no digital thingemebob and a
feeling of not having missed anything.

I wish there was a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence. There's
a knob called "brightness", but it doesn't work.
