I'm after a track for the idler wheels, similar to the ones I'm testing
with, to prevent the drum of my walnut washer from wandering off its
runners.

To this end, the open side of the channel will be on the outside (major
diameter). I only need it at one end, the other end will have the drive
belt assembly!
