They are pot nuts but 3/8" is closer to 9.5mm (32tpi thread as I recall!!)
- these ones are made by Keyes (at least that is what it says on the PCB)
and according to the big 'G' they are 7mm and I've mic'ed them to 6.9mm
which sounds about right ;)
