Yes. But mainly on the enforcement side.

Yep. Still, wanna know how many truckloads of that stuff are around? In
Oz (just measure the suddenly empty shelf space)? In NZ? And that's not
even the bigger problem. The real fun starts when Mr Chinaman, so far
too dumb to put a one cent sticker with approval marks on it, wizens up
to that. Because then you walk into a shop and the in this case easy to
spot junk looks the same as the stuff worth buying. And the shop owner
will try the "but it's all been approved - look here" defence.
The Sydney Morning Herald's blurb about "how to recognise quality PSUs"
was very entertaining - zero content, beyond a dimwitted "only buy
original Apple equipment" (from which people have died as well btw,
fake components).

Well, you could always start another monthly spin-off group
how-easy-is-electrocution-by-240Vac, perform appropriate experiments and
obtain statistics on the monthly decline in membership... ;-)
