So do I.

The exploiters are written for very similar phone models. The worst that
can happen is that it doesn't root the phone, but I doubt that. I also
doubt that they would actually damage anything (damage you do as root is
another matter).

I tried getting a complete listing of files etc to be able to monitor
any changes, but that needs root rights already...
