 add this   the lithium phosphate is in the carbon fill and the alloy copper foils are just the collectors

from an expolsion due to over chageing this was the result

the carbon was distributed widespread and the alloy foil and copper foil as well  
the explosion did not wake me up so probably a fizz whoosh.
 
other chemistries are a lot more explosive
the over charge probably produced a gass that eventually overcome the tiny vent hole and blew the contents all over the workshop
 
lesson learnt  use a BMS
