Hi Mike,
I use the USBPROG,

which can be made to be a range of different things; rs232 to USB,
JTAG, AVR ISP, OpenOCD and simply controlling IO pins. Suggest you buy
more than 1 since it's easy being lazy and not having to reprogram
them all the time.
