We've had about 10 or 12.
Even the wife doesn't fall for it.... she can tell its a skype type 
call by the delay.

Anyway the best idea is to ask them to hold while you go start your 
slow computer.
10 minutes later she was still there waiting.....while I informed her 
it was just about ready.
