Another option if you plan to place the valves under cover is to use gentle
annie washing machine valves. The major difference with these is that they
are mains operated. You can usually pick up a scrap machine for a few
dollars at the super shed. As a bonus you get a nice permanent magnet motor
suitable for high voltage windmills.
