[chbot] Microchip and Maxim online shops

Hurro...

Just a quick update on my microchiponline experience, and a question for
the list..

The PIC16F88's (SMD and DIP) arrived on Monday, 6 days delivery from
Thailand via fedex.

Total cost of the IC's including freight worked out at $4.22 NZ.  Retail
(sicom) is $11.55 for the DIP ones here, well worth the effort.

If anyone wants any PIC's in the next wee while I'll be ordering some
more for another project late next week, and can add yours on.

And, my question..  Has anyone ordered stuff from the maxim website
directly?  I've got a similar problem with a maxim chip I'd like to try
out in a product, but he local vendor (Avnet) don't carry it.
