To allow for a full sized crystal and keeping single sided I shifted the
reset switch to under the ICSP header, so it now has to be SMD now. :-)
Still not convinced of the benefit of the DS1233 on a modern PIC though.
And if someone really wanted to they could stick it across RA5/MCLR in a
to92 package on the host board.
I'm picking in a lot of applications this type of 'stampalike' will not
even have MCLR enabled to allow use of RA5 anyway.
Anyone got a good argument for an external reset manager on a micro that
has a good brown-out reset anyway?
