Hi everyone
There's a whole host of contra events coming up both for dancers and =
musicians in the next couple of months around the UK . Although info. on =
these has been sent out already through various mailing lists & flyers , =
I just wanted to make sure we hadn't missed anyone:=20
What's coming up next week for musicians..
So for all of you who are keen to meet contra musicians , have chance to =
learn more about their music and share tunes, a special event for =
musicians has been planned in Alcester, Warwickshire:
I am delighted that Karl Clark Col=F3n (guitar) and Deborah Clark =
Col=F3n (fiddle), an American duo who play together as Changeling for =
contra dances ( who will be on tour around the UK playing for contra =
dances ) have agreed to give a workshop for musicians followed by a =
session at the Hollybush pub on Weds March 1st. Their music has strong =
celtic roots and is both vibrant and compelling whether you're dancing =
or listening.=20
When and Where etc ....
The time is 8.00pm till 11.00pm in the function room at the Hollybush =
(go through the pub towards the garden and it is the room on the right.) =
Cost is =A35.00. The bar will be selling real ales including the new =
purity ales from the newest brewery in the area.
It is not often that we get the chance to work with american musicians =
in such a way so I hope that some of you will be able to come along and =
have some fun!
